White Chocolate Tart

White Chocolate Tart

This delicious white chocolate tart is very easy to prepare. You can substitute the white chocolate for dark chocolate or milk chocolate, you can also add more sugar to the filling.

For Crust

1.5 cups All purpose flour
1/4 cup confectioners sugar
90 grs butter, unsalted. Cut in cubes
1/8 tsp salt
1 egg L

For filling

1 cup white chocolate
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 eggs M
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup freezed blackberries or cranberries.



For the crust:
In a stand mixer, add the flour, butter, confectioners sugar, salt and the lightly beaten egg. 

Beat until mixture just forms a dough, cover the dough with plastic wrap. Place in the fridge for 30 mins to rest.



Preheat the oven to 170C, using your fingertips, press the dough into a 20 cm tart pan with removable bottom. Freeze for 30 minutes.


For filling: Place the chocolate, heavy whipping cream, and butter in a small saucepan. Heat over low heat until melted. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat and cool for a few minutes. Add the eggs and cornstarch. Mix in the sugar until well combined. Set aside.



Pour the filling in the cold tart crust, now place the blueberries in the top and bake for 40-45 mins. 


Set aside for at least 1 or 1.5 hours, cut into 4 delicious slices.
